Fire truck

Logan still LOVES firetrucks. He's been singing a firetruck song he learned at school almost nonstop for the last 2 weeks. We went to an open house at a nearby fire station for fire safety month.

Scarecrow Village

I've been having lots of trouble putting pictures on the blog and gave up for awhile but I'm going to try it again. Here are some pictures from one of our favorite places to go in the fall the scarecrow village at a nearby farm stand. This was the last really warm day we had before the cooler fall weather set in.

Oxbow Lake Boat Parade Winners

We had a fun Fourth of July in the Adirondacks with Grammy, Grampy, Aunt Betsie, Uncle Hank, and Biffy. I'll try to post a bunch of pictures but I had to announce that Biffy, Mike, Myself, Logan and Ethan all had the winning decorated boat in this years boat parade. The theme was revolutionary war and Biffys idea was to have an Oxbow tea party theme boat.

Happy 3rd Birthday Ethan!

Yesterday was Ethan's Third Birthday. His party is coming up mid June but yesterday Daddy took off work so we could have a special day to celebrate his actual birthday.  He had donuts for breakfast, Pancakes for lunch and cake for dinner (only on his birthday!). We went to the zoo for the afternoon since Ethan LOVES animals.

International Border

The boys and I were at the aquarium the other day and we took a walk over to a lookout point where you can see the international Canada US border and Niagara River. There are also large Rock gardens showing the Niagara Gorge Rocks.
I was trying to point out the bridge to Canada in the background and part of Niagara Falls but the boys were more interested in looking at gravel!

They really liked the rock gardens and want to have a rock garden at home.

I'm not sure what this Rock Circle thing is but the boys liked it.

Building a Freeform Geoboard

We set up a workshop in the garage for the boys and let them use little hammers and nails with supervision. We put together a free form Geo board on some scrap wood with nails and rubber bands.
