Happy belated Earth day! Yesterday to celebrate we played outside and planted seeds. The boys also enjoyed the special dessert we made - funky monkey bars! We also painted a toilet paper tube for a craft but Logan decided to use it as a elephant trunk. Earth day made me think about the Eco friendly things that we have been trying to do as a family:
- Eating Vegetarian
- Shopping at the farmers market
- Recycling everything possible
- We started a compost bin
- We have almost entirely eliminated using paper towels, paper napkins, Ziploc bags and paper plates
- Keeping the heat low in our house
- Turning off lights etc/ when not in use
- We use Eco friendly Laundry and dish soap
- Reusable bottles and bags
- We consign or donate things when we are done with them
- We buy a lot of kids stuff at garage sales/consignment
